If it still does not work I suppose I should try starting over with my original image of the drive as it came to me. I am now trying it with SP2 without reloading my VM with my original image. Originally I ran the inplace repair with SP3, the install was SP2. If a suggested method is something I have already tried I will mark it as such.
I have tried everything I can find online but I am happy to hear everyones suggestions. I have seen all the post about resetting the 30 day limit and all the ways to do it. I am not able to logon to the OS without entering safe mode as the loop is not present in safe mode. But now I am stuck in a Logon Activation loop. That all went great, now the system boots and loads the OS. I was able to skip it and was going to use a process that we use here constantly to redo the product key after I got the drive up.
That all went fine except it would not accept the product key, which the customer sent me a image of the sticker on the physical box. I had a drive sent to me that was failing to load the OS.Īs this was an old PATA SSD I elected to pull an image of the drive, apply that image to a Virtual, and then ran the XP inplace repair.
